I want
to thank all who attended the Helper Certification this
weekend in Chattanooga, TN. We had a very good turn out
with people who wanted to learn more about the Service Dogs
of America organization. Eight indiviuals received
certifications to perform helper work in SDA trials. We
expect several new clubs will be formed in areas such as
South Jersey, NJ., Milwaukee, WI. and Ocala, FL.
Jack Rayl, co-founder of the Service Dogs of
America Organization, did an outstanding job of hosting this
seminar. Everyone who attended came away with a great
appreciation
of what the Service Dogs of America & United Kennel Club is
doing for the working dog enthusist. They realized that the
SDA trial offers something for the novice dog handler to the
very expeirenced handler. Several people who attended had
the impression that the SDA titles were easy to achieve.
After the completion of the seminar, they realized that when
you earn a title at an SDA event it does require
considerable time and training. These individuals also now
realize that if you title a dog in SDA
protection
work you can be assured that the dog will be tested in ways
unlike any other dog sport.
We received nothing but positive remarks from all who
attended. This was truly a great weekend with a great bunch
of people and some really awesome dogs - we all had a fun
time and very productive weekend. Be sure and check out the
attached pictures from the seminar on our photo gallary
page.
Listed are the names of
indiviuals who earned Helper Certification.
Congratulations, guys, we will look forward to seeing you at
